This page covers the topics of repurposing and retrofitting. Most folks have pieces of decorative art or furniture that they just can't toss out for some nagging reason.
We can help you renew your interest in that old thing once again. |

As a matter of fact, we have an example handy. Our client brought us this table to restore. It had lived outdoors for a few years. (We do not know why, we did not ask.) After examining the table, we quoted a price of $3500.00. Next, we brought the client a glass of water. Then we sat down with her and made a suggestion.
We said that we thought this pile of parts could be reconfigured into a smaller table and possibly a nice picture frame. We could do these things for less than $1500.00 She agreed. |

Below, you see the table. We turned the leg section upside down, stripped the remaining veneers, and cut down the top and base into smaller diameters. Then we gave it a black lacquer finish, followed by some whitish glaze to accent the quartered oak grain.
It's a cocktail table now. 22" High X 32" Diameter
But wait!! There's more!!

We took the moulding from around the base and added some of our own to the inside. Then we made this nifty scene of stylized garden foliage out of textured card and paper stock. We glued them to fabric mounted on a backboard. The frame is finished in black lacquer and white grain accent like the table. |

We can find unique solutions to problems using paper, wood, fabric, metals, plaster, resins and many finish materials. |
